Out on location with My Olympus Pen 7

Olympus Pen 7

I have to start with the fact that I don't class myself as a "location photographer" I like to stay warm within my studio in Bristol. So on a rare day off I like to go out to places for coffee or food off the beaten track and normally with a view. For a while now I have always taken my studio camera Canon60D along for the ride. I have found the Canon60D to be bulky and needing a small camera bag to carry it as in the UK the weather is always cold and wet... So I was delighted to have found a smaller and more "girlie" camera with my Olympus Pen7 with a 14mm-42mm lens thats fits into any girls handbag and I have fallen in LOVE... heres mine below...

What I love with this camera is you can buy Girlie accessories for it... from Handbags not camera bags to Camera straps.. and many more accessories to help to fit your camera to your own style. I love that its white and brown looking at cameras for ages now you find only Black ones and boring camera straps and bags... it seems that if you want style you have to pay through the nose for it! But with this little gem from Olympus they have nailed it. You can even pick up cool accessories on www.amazon.co.uk for it.

I love how the screen much like my Canon60D flips ... this allows for the perfect SELFIE shot with your friends at parties or family events. Fit perfectly on your shoulder and not heavy to carry around for day trips and holidays. The WIFI is amazing I have linked mine to my DROPBOX account which I can then access from my phone or Mac when out and about or home or just post your photos straight to Facebook or your blog.

So below are some of my recent shots while out and about with my partner Andy (opposite) for coffees and lunches and hope to be out and about more in the new year and less cold out. All taken on the Olympus Pen7 and then edited in Lightroom and Photoshop...

When shooting locations as a Creative Photographer I like to find textures, angles and light within my photos different to how you see the location with your eyes.
